Mlle. Lenormand was a famous (and sometimes notorious) French fortune teller in the 18th and 19th centuries. The deck she is known for is the Petit Jeu, or small game.
 
The Lenormand Petit Jeu is made up of just 36 cards! You might wonder, how is it possible to get a good reading with just 36 cards?
 
The thing about Lenormand is that we read the cards in combinations. Indeed, Lenormand's cards are often read like words in a sentence.
 
We can get a million different meanings from combining the cards together. It is a whole new way of reading cards.
 
So in Lenormand we lay out the cards in a format called a Tableau, which means 'portrait' in French. Tableau layouts consist of cards read in lines, vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. And there are many other secrets we can get out of a Tableau when combining the cards differently.
 
Lenormand is a completely unique way of doing cards. You will be amazed at how unique the deck, the layouts, and this whole Lenormand experience is.
