OVERVIEW
The Man is one of two significators in the Lenormand deck and he represents a real person, usually someone of significance in our life or the life of the querent. It’s a neutral card and draws all of its characteristics from nearby cards.
IN THE PORTRAIT & GRAND TABLEAU
There’s no specific advice associated with the Man, but when it figures on the first or central card placement of the nine-card layout, it asks us to focus on a specific person in our life, likely someone important to us. He draws his traits from nearby cards.
In the Tableau, the Man card represents the querant if he’s male, and is called the significator. The Woman in this case usually represents his partner but can mean someone else depending on nearby cards. The location of the significator in the Tableau is critical and drives much of its dynamics. This is covered in depth in Lenormand Reader’s Handbook Of Layouts.
ADVICE
There is no specific advice associated with the Man. Nearby cards should be consulted instead as the Man (and Woman) is a neutral card and drives most of its meaning from the cards that surround it.
